Test Description:APOE gene was encoded the apolipoprotein E which is involved in the metabolism of lipids in the body. There are three common forms of the APOE gene, known as e2, e3, and e4. The e4 allele may be associated with an increased risk of developing Alzheimer's disease, as well as other medical conditions such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
